V For Vendetta(film)

I've always found the ability to speak with a clear voice, confidence and astonishingly neat and well ordered sentences, in addition the well sounded rythm of the speaker. This I always find interesting. Which will bring out of me the curiosity of what really is saying and how well can I try to immitate and playing with the words such as those.

That feeling once again gets to me as I watch V for Vendetta. How V, the protagonist burst out his ideas in well ordered and organised words reminds me of David Carradine in Kill Bill 2 and the attraction is challenging my limited vocabulary of words. How it gets to me is spending hours listening to same speech as much as usually listening to newly released hit song.

The idea of this movie however, differ with Kill Bill 2 as the speeches is always strong and lack of it's synical supports. But the idea is strong on it's own taken from The Gun Powder Treason plot. The idea is to remind us to stands against the institution or symbol that threaten us and keep us from our freedom. The idea is as strong as the character in the movie, it goes as a warning to the institution that the power of people prevail.

The story goes with questioning of how government spreads fear to its people, using surveillence and curfew to supress any resistance from the people. Any act of questioning and protest would result in detention, torture and death. (Except for the death part it is likely ISA).

The movie can be imagine through the speach that has been given by the protagonist to awaken the people. Whole movie takes time for a year started with the 5th november where V destroyed The Old Bailey to the next where he warn to blow up the Parliment synically. It's was a whole year where the truth is uncovered and the motives and strength of him and others are build, grew stronger.

In the dramatic ends, we can see how people are really awoke to stand before the corrupt government and retain their rights.

People should not be afraid of their governments, governments should be afraid of their people.

Eid Mubarak 1429 Hijrah

Idulfitri comes after a month of fasting. A month of restraining self from any sin thoughtfully more than any other month. In a single word "abstinence".

Idulfitri comes after Ramadhan, a month of holding self from food and beverages within the daylight. That what we see, Ramadhan also means not to give in to our desire and lust. How we talk and act also included, I believe a better muslim is developed every Ramadhan. To be able to do this is to be patient and that's a real virtue.

Well what have happen and what you did to deserves Idulfitri. How did you handle your job, have you use all of 8 - 5 to work or still just googling or testing yahoo games killing the times before "Bazar Ramadhan".

Have you behave on the high-way respecting the other drivers or do it just your-way. Still I didn't see a lot of those except a few times on the raya eve it self. Within a few more kilometres before I ended the long trip from KL to Terengganu. But nothing really happens (Still I damned that driver), let's just say everyone can't wait to celebrate raya at the "kampong".

I'm glad that I've done less sin within this past ramadhan compared to other years and months altogether. I practise proper planning for balik kampung trip, avoiding the jam. Be more patient with others and enjoy while doing it(smile/laugh a lot).

I think I've done better than last year and those years before. I wish we all victor against our bad deeds and sin. With god in our heart and better ourselves towards god comes the Idulfitri, The celebration of self victory. Celebrate it we must, for fighting our way to it.

This is just an update to the event that was in my last post. It was a successful event and everything seems to be in order. Congratulations to Date-Escalade on this one happy full of dating night.

Muslim Speed Dating, Petaling Jaya

I've always wanted to try speed dating. Wonder how nervous and yet still exciting it could be. But I'm off meeting new dates now, I've got a girl already and don't think I want to change that.

But this still on for you singles, go and join this exciting event! Spread it around to your friends. Exact location will only be revealed to confirmed participants. Price includes food and drinks.

It's our What? Who? Why? Where? and How?

What?
Speed dating is a dating system whose purpose is to encourage people to meet a large number of new people. Our version of speed dating involves a group of Muslim singles, that meet and chat for 5 minutes, after which you can decide whether or not you would like to see them again, and you only get put in contact with the people that you want to meet who also want to meet you again – no more awkward phone calls and no having to avoid people you don't like.

Who?
You, young single professionals aged 24-37.

Why?
Why should you go for speed dating? And why do we organize speed dating for Muslims? It's okay, we'll answer both questions! =)

1. You should go because this is a perfect event where you get the chance to get to know 15 people from the opposite gender and network with 14 other people from the same gender. The value of 15 dates for the price of 1? Now that's a bargain!
2. Well, we KNOW there are a number of speed-dating events out there. But it is very non-Muslim skewed. Please don't get us wrong, we respect our non-Muslim friends, but we want to provide the chance for those that want and feel more comfortable to meet Muslim brothers and sisters in a safe and observed environment.

Where?
Location will mostly be at restaurants which serve Halal food and non-alcoholic beverages. We will rotate the location for every event to keep the environment different and full of surprises!

How?

1. You will each have 15 face-to-face 5-minute dates and you will be given a 'match card' at the beginning of the event. After every 5 minutes, our facilitator will ring a bell to indicate your date is over. The ladies will remain seated while and the men will move to the next seat and spend the next 5 minutes with a new 'date'.
   
2. No personal information (eg. Phone numbers or email) is to be exchanged between the participants at this time. If you like what you see, simply mark a 'yes' or 'no' next to each person's name in the match card.
3. At the end of the event, our facilitators will collect the match cards and you get a chance to mingle around.
4. If you marked a 'yes' for someone, and he/she marked a 'yes' for you, then you have a match! We will send your matched results within 24 hours via email. Isn't it simple, easy, safe and full of fun?
5. In the event that there is a shortage of people, we would cancel the event in advance and place you in the next session. This way, you are guaranteed to meet the required number of people and better chances of getting your match.

How Beautiful Are You?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, years we've been trying to look beautiful in front of others. Make-up, botox, put off your food just to loose more size, how we all try to look beautiful and pretty. Apparently nowadays with age and middle life crisis just around the corner. I found that there are lot more to be take into consideration than just meet the eye. Well, think again...

For me, neat and firm ladies are always a pleasure compared to the beauty of her face. Means she might looks like Nasha Aziz(the one i adore) but without a healthy figured body it just won't get me on.(this include us, me and my girl we're both really working on our body-shape now)

Of course above all, clean, neat and the attitude to comfort others with well communication skills is still at the top of the attraction, you know what they say.. can't really judge a book by its cover. Pretty faces who really turn down a nice conversation really loose it.
